Joanne Lee Foundation (JLF) is committed to raising awareness and transforming the lives of people from incest. We stand for freedom from the constraints and impact of incest. Through JLF the major facilitator to EMPOWERMENT is Equine Therapy, using horses to transform lives from a life of devastation to a life of creating new possibilities.
What is Equine Therapy?
The Joanne Lee Foundation, Inc.'s equestrian ther-apy is a specialized program designed to empower lives through the interaction with horses. Each individual learns to respect, nurture, care-take, groom, lead and discipline horses, while gaining the overall knowledge of horses and skills of horseback riding.
Because horses are large, yet domesticated ani-mals, there is an inherent opportunity to restore TRUST, as a relationship is built between a person and a horse. Because horses don't, manipulate, threaten, lie or cheat and are direct in their commu-nication, they in turn, respond to direct and clear communication from others.
We are located on the beautiful grounds of CAPTURE YOUR DREAMS RANCH, a 3.5-acre property complete with equine facilities, horses, donkeys and a miniature horsey. JLF has an innovative and unique therapeutic equine program in Southern California and will be opening it's barn doors to the public in the fall/winter of 2009.
